“I’m going under
Down under where the lights are low
To a place where all the mutants go
Doing things I never did before
Inside out and coming back for more”

Daily observations about a perfectly normal commute on the NYC subway.
by Roberto Pedroso
The New York City subway system, like any other one in the world, was meant to be a fast and efficient way to transport people from one place to the other. So are these stories. They are meant to transport the reader into a parallel universe that exists in the greatest city in the world. Where cultures, beliefs, personalities, even smells and noises coexist harmonically for a few minutes in the tightest space possible, brought in together in a total random way.
This is such a great opportunity to be contact with raw human nature that I’ve decided to jolt down my observations. I assume this makes me an explorer. I am following the example of others that have gone to far away lands and exotic jungles to discover new species and mutations. But luckily for me, I don’t need to go too far. I just need to walk a couple of blocks from home, swipe my Metrocard and hop in.
Who am I?
I’m a writer, copywriter, screenwriter, rider.
So read on. You are in for a ride. Literally.
